If I told you that a Congressman actually said this:
“I talk to these Secret Service agents, most of them are the same agents who have perform admirably and loyally for all these years, done a stellar job,” he explained. “But when you put political correctness above all else, just like we have with our rules of engagement with our military that’s getting our own military killed.”how many guesses would you need until you picked correctly?“But political correctness is putting the president in jeopardy, it is getting military members killed,” the Tea Party-backed Republican said. “This is the heart of the problem, political correctness.”
That's right, America's Dumbest Congressman, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas, unfortunately), has truly outdone himself this time. Gohmert impressively connected the Secret Service scandal to political correctness, except I'm not even sure what the hell he's even talking about here. It's just a jumbled word salad about political correctness and rules of engagement.
Of course, Louie wasn't done saying stupid shit. He continued:
“The military is not trained to go catch Ebola and die,” he insisted. “They’re trained to go in and kill the people that want to come back and kill us. The president’s priorities are all mixed up here. All you got to do is shut down traffic in and out of places where there’s high risk of Ebola.”I'm at a loss for words. Political correctness has fuck-all to do with ebola or security lapses or, well, anything else that's going on here, but then Louie Gohmert has never been one for whom "making sense" ranks high on his list of priorities.“But political correctness is going to get people killed in all of these areas.”
Once again, this might be one of the most impressive displays of stupidity from a man who has cornered the market on stupidity. It's almost as though Louie got wind of the possibility that he might have competition for the title of America's Dumbest Congressman and decided to nip the possibility of losing his crown in the bud before some of the new crop of Village Idiots gets elected to Congress for no apparent reason.
